About Us

Well Water Connection, Inc. was founded by John Larsen in 2002. He grew up in Norwell, MA and obtained his civil engineering degree in 1990 from the UMass Amherst. As a new graduate, he worked with Stone & Webster Engineering supervising geotechnical sites and drilling operations, monitoring well installations and performing bedrock and soil testing. In 1995, he entered the water well industry as a water well sales representative before becoming the general manager of one of the fastest growing well drilling companies in New England. He found success through educating his customers and by taking the mystery out of water wells and how they work. In his first seven years in the business, he effectively designed, sold, coordinated and supervised the installation of over 700 residential and commercial irrigation wells.

During this time, John listened to his customers’ complaints and frustrations about the limited services provided by most well drilling companies. For example, many so-called “full-service” companies relied on their customers to do the planning, obtain the permits, notify Dig-Safe and arrange for such things as trenching, wiring, plumbing and site cleanup. Many did not provide well development services such as hydrofracturing, or pump system designs, or electrical, plumbing and water treatment services. Also, they rarely communicated with the landscape and irrigation companies whose input was a necessary part of their irrigation-well project. John saw a need for a company that understood the concerns of green industry professionals and could successfully coordinate water well projects from planning to completion.

In the spring of 2002, John started Well Water Connection, Inc. He utilized his professional background, practical expertise and affiliations in the groundwater, landscape and irrigation industries to combine water well design and project management with a network of competent, highly knowledgeable, fully licensed and insured, water well drillers and related professionals. This unique business approach allows his company to be truly full-service and assures coordination between the various trades. Well Water Connection, Inc. provides their clients straightforward, honest advice about water wells, pumps and related products and services and a more complete, customized and professional water well installation.

John is currently an active member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Ground Water Trust (AGWT), National Ground Water Association (NGWA), Associated Landscape Contractors of Massachusetts (ALCM) and sits on the Board of Irrigation Association of New England (IANE).
