Neglecting maintenance often results in your treatment system not working properly, and can result in costly repairs down the line in plumbing/appliances, the treatment system itself and in some cases your health.
Many units require maintenance to work, for example certain cartridges or a new UV light is required annually to work, or else it will have no affect on the water, or sometimes worsen the quality. Water pressure can be decreased. Many times there becomes a domino effect of issues especially for systems with multiple units.
Here are just a few of the issues we look for when maintaining your filter system:
The maintenance process will depend on the type of system that is installed. In general, the water is tested to ensure the unit is working properly and maintenance is done to manufacturers specifications.
Depending upon the maintenance and servicing you’re seeking, below is a bit more about how we offer service.
Incoming and outgoing water is tested, the interior of the valve head is cleaned and necessary parts replaced, manual regen is run to ensure all functions are working properly, backup batteries may be replaced, settings may be reprogrammed, etc.
Incoming and outgoing water is tested for pH, and the tank is refilled with fresh media to replace what has dissolved into the water. The unit is flushed out and returned to service.
The UV lamp is replaced and the quartz sleeve on the inside is removed to check for stains/buildup. This is cleaned or replaced along with the O-rings, the timer (if applicable) is reset and unit is flushed out.
Cartridges are replaced, housing is cleaned of buildup and sanitized, unit is flushed out. Storage tanks are repressurized.
Open-to-air systems are breeding grounds for bacteria. The system is sanitized or if bad enough, will be taken apart and cleaned. All safety features are tested, necessary parts and batteries are replaced, system is inspected to make sure all functions are working properly. Bladder tanks are repressurized.
Necessary parts on the injection pump are cleaned and replaced, injection port is cleaned out and check valve replaced, water is tested and pump is adjusted to ensure proper dosage.
